Chemigram

A Chemigram is a camera-less photographic process. I coated photo paper, normally used in darkroom to make traditional analog prints, with a variety of chemicals and household substances. The chemicals act as resists and block the uv and affect the paper in different ways which give the resulting image different colors and textures. I then expose the paper to Ultra-violet light for a predetermined amount of time. Next, I take developer and fixer and paint, spray, dip, flick each onto the paper. The developer exposes the areas without a resist and the fixer removes the silver and lightens the paper. This is where my creativity decides when to stop. I finish the whole process with a water rinse.
